Mathivathanan heads Jaffna District Cricket Association

The Jaffna District Cricket Association (JDCA) held its annual general meeting at the Cricket Academy auditorium in Jaffna to elect their new executive committee for the ensuing years 2010 to 2012.
Zonal Manager Northern Region of Union Assurance C.N. Mathivathanan was unanimously elected as the president of the JDCA while A.S. Nishanthan was elected the secretary.

With peace having dawned the newly elected president and the secretary along with the executive committee are confident and determined to put in their effort to uplift the standard of cricket and bring back cricket to where it was in the northern district. The following were elected members for the ensuing years 2010-2012.

Vice Patrons - Rev. N.J. Gnanaponrajah (Principal- St. John’s College, Jaffna), Rev. Fr. Jero Selvanayagam (Rector-St. Patrick’s College, Jaffna), Noel A. Vimalendran (Principal- Jaffna College, Vaddukkodai), T. Jeganathan, Mrs. A.T.J. Rubasingham (District Sports Officer, Jaffna).
