10th Battle of Raigam Thalpiti Korale

Piliyandala Central defeated traditional rivals Taxila Central for the second successive year by six wickets in their 10th Battle of Raigam Thalpiti Korale big match concluded at Piliyandala yesterday. Piliyandala Central chasing 68 runs for victory in 12 overs reached the target with two overs to spare.

Piliyandala Central 251 for 8 declared in 70 overs (Tharindu Chathuranga 57, Lahiru Dushantha 48, Gayasha Madushan 38, Tharindu Madusanka 28, Sameera Chathuranga 22 n.o.: Hasinda Saharanga 4 for 53, Anushka Iroshana 2 for 41) and 72 for 4 in 10 overs (Sachith Nimudu 29, Tharindu Chathuranga 20).
