MATRIX, trusted for BCS and BIT in Sri Lanka

The journey of MATRIX begun in early 2006, with a vision of becoming "a university for you" completed the first few years and now has become a giant in the education and training sector in its fourth year of operation. The company's visionary veteran Viraj Pinto Jayawardena has been an exception to the growth and success of the company. He is an icon in the ICT education and training sector and very popular among students with his distinct style of lectures. With over 13+ years of teaching experience, he is no doubt one of the best in the country.

MATRIX since its inception offered a wide range of programmes and several key programmes like the British Computer Society(BCS) Professional examinations in IT now known as BCS Chartered Institute of IT - Higher Education Qualifications(HEQ), Bachelor of information Technology(BIT) of the UCSC, Australian Computer Society(ACS) Professional Examinations in IT, MATRIX Diploma in Information Technology (MDip)in IT and many others under the umbrella of MCTP(MATRIX Corporate Training Programmes).

BCS - Higher Education Qualifications (HEQ) in IT
BCS a Chartered body in IT offering many programmes from which, the BCS Higher Education Qualifications (HEQ) is very popular. This is internationally recognized and helps candidates to complete in just two years. The total course fee is very economical.

MATRIX is very popular for the BCS HEQ in IT mainly due to Mr. Viraj Pinto Jayawardena and his team of industrial and academic experts. Their collaborative experience is over 50 years. Another main reason that candidates prefer MATRIX for BCS is due to the very economical course fee that is offered with sparkling benefits. The initial fee to start BCS with MATRIX is only 15,000 Sri Lanka Rupees. And to complete the entire examination with the examination fee and the professional project it will cost approximately Sri Lankan rupees 220,000

The company further enhanced its benefits to the students by offering a full time programme for the BCS - HEQ, which will enable the candidates to obtain the BCS Certification in a university based environment. The candidates will have lecturers four days a week from 8.30 am to 5.00pm and will have assignments and many other course works with also time to relax and enjoy in a very friendly environment.

Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) of the UCSC

The BIT of the University of Colombo School of Computing is a very attractive programme, which consists of the 3 academic years with 6 semesters. The BIT further paves the way for the candidates who successfully completed the examination to receive a very high industrial recognition locally or overseas.

MATRIX is popular for the BIT programme among many university students for the quality and standards of education offered, the main reason again being Mr. Viraj Pinto Jayawardena, who may be the only lecturer in Sri Lanka to educate students from the very first BIT intake.

The other main reason why candidates choose MATRIX is due to the course fee for the first year which is only 32,000 and therefore to complete the entire degree with MATRIX it will cost less than 120,000 Sri Lankan Rupees. The Institution further offers a 50% discount for undergraduates and government school teachers, which makes it even more economical. Candidates if they do further wish can enrol for the first semester as well, by making a very economical fee. MATRIX has recorded the largest intake for the BIT students this year and invites students to register at their earliest to avoid disappointment.
As a result of the UCSC making the entrance of the BIT degree more flexible the total number of students enrolling has been on the increase. Even if you have sat the A/L examinations this August you could start the BIT with MATRIX and register with the university when the A/L results are released.
