Singer gets top brand status

Singer (Sri Lanka) was recently ranked the number one public brand in Sri Lanka in the 2009 Brands Annual, compiled by Brand Finance.

Based on extensive studies, including financial analysis and market research, the Brand Rating, which can be likened to a company credit rating, takes into account factors such as brand management, brand presence, brand familiarity, functional performanc, emotional connection, brand preference, growth, and market share. It has been significant that Singer has been ranked number one for the fifth consecutive year since Brand Finance launched the rating in 2005, the company said in a press release.

These latest accolades come on top of Singer’s consistent record of brand excellence, evidenced in its repeated selection as the “People’s Brand of the Year” at the Nielsen-SLIM “Power of the People” awards. Its continuous success and never-ending quest for ever higher levels of brand quality is even more impressive when the company’s long and illustrious heritage is taken into consideration, it said.
