The Bandaranaike International Diplomatic Training Institute which is now the training arm of the Lakshman Kadirgarmar Institute of International relations and Strategic Studies begins its certificate Course in Diplomacy tomorrow.

The Course provides a comprehensive overall survey of the ongoing international scene within four months. These lectures are held on 3 days of the week.

A unique feature of the Course is that it is not confined to lectures but also includes practical demonstrations in which the participants are expected to play a role. They get a training in effective public speaking by making presentations at mock UN Sessions and SAARC Summits. The Participants have shown great enthusiasm in these activities.
