Leo Burnett Sri Lanka hosts Leo Foundations Asia Pacific workshop
 

Leo Burnett Solutions Inc. (LBSI), the Sri Lankan office of Leo Burnett Worldwide, will host up to 30 young advertising professionals from across the Asia Pacific region next week, to an intensive four day workshop – Leo Foundations 2008- Sri Lanka.

To be held from August 25 – 29, the event will also provide the young participants an opportunity to build relationships with other staff from South Korea, China, Thailand, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Australia, Indonesia, Phillipines and Sri Lanka, the local office said in a press release. Leo Foundations will focus on the complete cycle of the business starting with understanding the client’s issues and marketing objectives, how to position a brand, gain powerful insights and how to write great briefs, moving forward to brainstorming ideas.

The final module will focus on how to create great communications, evaluate it and present it. It is coordinated by LBSI in conjunction with Linda Locke, Chief Executive Officer of Godmother Consulting Pte Ltd, a former regional Creative Director of Leo Burnett Asia Pacific. The faculty comprises John Borzi of 6 Degrees, Richard Dale (Leo Burnett - Australia), Mark Blears (Leo Burnett – Asia Pacific), and Trevor Kennedy (Leo Burnett Sri Lanka). Michael Wood (Chairman, Leo Burnett – Greater China) and Michelle Kristula-Green (President- Leo Burnett – Asia Pacific) will attend the final sessions. LBSI’s Managing Director, Ranil de Silva said, “We are proud to host a workshop of this calibre in our island home. The combined talent and experience of the faculty will provide the participants, representing 14 offices from 12 countries, a wealth of knowledge.”.
