Trinity College and St. Joseph’s College were declared joint winners of the Inter-School Under-17 Division I Cricket Tournament, after both teams’ final scores were locked at 198 each at Maggona yesterday.

Trinity, who were put into bat, were restricted by the Josephians for 198, but they lost only eight wickets on the way. Jayavi Liyanagama top scored with 48. In response, despite a fine knock of 57 from Sahan Dabare, St. Joseph’s were bowled out by Trinity within in exactly 50 over, thus being named as joint winners of the tournament.
