All set for inaugural Eagles’ Monsoon Cup 2022 Tournament

The Sri Lanka Air Force inaugural Eagles’ Monsoon Cup Golf Tournament 2022 will tee off next Saturday at the picturesque China Bay, Trincomalee attracting 85 golfers from all parts of the country, comprising 70 men and 15 women, for the first of its kind tournament, this is readying to be played.

This new tournament, with some foreign flavour, though they won’t be officially representing their countries, would have the golfers and participants arriving in on the eve of the tournament. This has also been organised in order to fill the gap of golfing events that are held during the monsoon season.

Moreover, the main goal is to uplift the sport of golf, which saw a decline in the past few years due to the pandemic and other national challenges. In addition to the Eagles’ Monsoon Cup, the golfers will also vie for the Eagles’ Monsoon Defence Challenge Trophy which is awarded to the best serving player from the Tri-Forces.

Air Force Eagles’ Golf Links and Courses, along with the generous support of Huawei Technologies Lanka as the exclusive main sponsor, will host the newest golf tournament set to be another annual highlight of the golfing calendar. In addition, Trinco Blu by Cinnamon have come aboard as the hospitality partner for the tournament.
