Ed. Minister meets UNESCO Director General
View(s):Education Minister Susil Premajayantha met Audrey Azoulay, the Director General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), on Thursday.
The meeting occurred while the Minister was at New York to attend the Transforming Education Summit, where he expressed his gratitude towards UNESCO for the support extended for the education sector of Sri Lanka.
Explaining the current economic situation and difficulties faced by Sri Lanka, the Minister requested the continuous support of UNESCO forthe country.
