D. M. P. C Lasantha Aberathne appointed as Nuwara Eliya Education Director
View(s):D. M. P. C Lasantha Aberathne has been appointed as the new Nuwara Eliya Zonal Education Director.
He has been appointed to the post after Nihal Alagakone, Acting Director of the Nuwara Eliya Zonal Education Office, was transferred to the Gampola Zonal Education Office.
His appointment letter was handed over on Wednesday by Central Province Governor Lalith.U.Gamage.
Mr.Aberathne, a first grade officer of the Sri Lanka Education Administration Service, joined the teaching service and started working as a teacher at Perakumbura Primary School in Nanuoya.
After that he also served as Vice Principal in the Ambewela, Hitikala and Nanuoya James Peiris schools.
He was also appointed as Deputy Director of Education in 2017 and also served as the Deputy Director of Education in the Kotmale Education Zone.
