1000 scholarships from the National Youth Council
View(s):A programme to award scholarships to 1000 young men and women to follow a vocational training course of their choice has been initiated by the National Youth Council.
Under this programme the selected candidates are awarded a scholarship worth Rs. 50,000 to follow a course of their choice and vocational training will be provided by the council.
Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Roshan Ranasinghe said Ceylon Tobacco had agreed to sponsor the scholarships that would empower the youth.
