Teachers for e-learning, video and radio lessons sought after
View(s):A national level pool consisting of teachers who are able to design and present e-learning content is to be established to strengthen online and distance learning in the country.
The Education Reforms and Distance Learning State Ministry has called applications from government school teachers as resource people to create content for ‘Gurugedara’ education programmes, the ‘e-Thaksalawa’ management system and education radio programmes.
The Ministry is looking for teachers who possess creative abilities to design video lessons for students from grade one to 13 in all three languages.
Selected candidates should be able to do scriptwriting content suitable for both television and YouTube.
Subject expert teachers too are encouraged to apply for the national pool to prepare question banks and question papers for all subjects covering all three mediums to be included in the e-Thaksalawa system.
Teachers of Information Technology in government schools or teachers who are able to design software for learning are also encouraged to apply for the national level pool to design software within the e-Thaksalawa system.
The ability to do animation is considered as an additional qualification, a Ministry official said.
