Outdated education policies do not take society forward: President

A digital platform with the objective of collecting innovative ideas on educational reforms, was launched by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa

on Friday.

President Rajapaksa said that a proper policy on education cannot be changed with a change of government.

He said outdated policies do not take society forward.

The President said to implement the policies in his manifesto educational reforms are needed.

Accordingly, people will be able to submit their proposals by logging into the website egenuma.moe.gov.lk within the next three months.

Proposals can be submitted under four categories namely, pre-school, primary and secondary education, vocational and tertiary education and higher education and professional education.
