Alumni Association of University of Peradeniya (AAUP) AGM on March 27
View(s):The 32nd Annual General Meeting of the Alumni Association of University of Peradeniya (AAUP) will be held on March 27 at 9.00 am. The AGM will be a hybrid event due to the present health situation in the country.
It will be held virtually through ZOOM and in person with a limited number of participants, at the Department of Animal Science in the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Peradeniya.
The Chief Guest on the occasion will be former Election Commissioner Delimitation Commission Chairman Mahinda Deshapriya. The Guest of Honor will be Prof. S.A Kulasooriya an Emeritus Professor of the University of Peradeniya. University Vice Chancellor and AAUP vice Patron Upul B. Dissanayake will also grace the occasion.
Emeritus Professor Savitri Kumar, a former Professor of Organic Chemistry, who had served 43 years at the Faculty Science in the Colombo Campus of the University of Ceylon and the University of Peradeniya, and has made a significant contribution to the Alumni Association of the University of Peradeniya, will be felicitated at the AAUP AGM, states the AAUP’s General Secretary Hema Gamage.
