Diploma for developing leadership skills at grassroots level
View(s):A Diploma in Community Leadership and Development has been launched by the Uva Wellassa University under a UNDP programme for the capacity development of local governments. The programme aims to empower women in leadership skills at grassroots level.
Under the first programme women in local government institutions have been selected. Uva Province Govenor A. J. M. Musamil was the chief guest at the launch of the diploma programme. Governor’s Chief Secretary P. B. Wijeyaratne and Prof. Wasana Maithree were among those present.
