Skills for Excellence for Children in New Normal

Children especially, are vulnerable and sensitive to change. They need guidance and motivation to develop sound values and skills to go in the right direction. They need encouragement, to bring out the best of their unique talents and speak out with confidence and be role models and leaders amongst their peers in the changing environment.
The Rainbow Institute of Communication and English, a centre of excellence in Communication, English and soft skills training, www.rainbowinstitute.lk has introduced a new course to equip children to develop the required skills and values to excel in the new normal.
Topics include the following: Personal Development, Sound Values, Courageous Communication, Public Speaking, Being Master and not a Slave of Technology, Safety and Security, Health and Fitness, Critical Thinking, Personal Grooming and Manners. Rainbow Institute will also include a practical cookery session to inculcate the desire to cook and engage in meaningful hobbies amongst children. Such cookery sessions have proved to be very popular in our programmes for Children.
FUN- FILLED LEARNING
In the highly competitive school environment that children have to deal with, Rainbow Institute provides two refreshing hours for children every Saturday from 9.00 am to 11.00 am
This special time provides motivational training, with fun- filled action to empower children.
HEALTH PRECAUTIONS
The Rainbow Institute enforces safety measures for combatting Covid 19 and has been endorsed by the Public health authorities,
PERSONALISED COACHING
This training provides personalized coaching over a duration of 30 hours. (approximately, 4 months)
As sessions are limited to small numbers, each child gets individual attention and is guided to bring out the best of his or her own distinctive strengths.
ENGAGEMENT OF PARENTS
Recognising the role and responsibility of parents in moulding the children, Rainbow Institute invites parents to witness the final session and see the progress of their children.
Enrolment is now on for the new batch, which is the 18th batch in the special empowerment programmes for children conducted by the Rainbow Institute.
INDIVIDUAL COACHING
Rainbow Institute also offers individual coaching for children who want to excel in English and also for those who take part in Speech, Debating and Oratorical competitions.
Many students from the Rainbow Institute have shone at school and won awards at national level competitions.
Children and young adults, who have learning difficulties are also provided personal coaching to develop confidence and bring out their best.
COURSE DIRECTOR
The empowerment programmes at Rainbow Institute are directed by eminent university academic, Dr. Mahim Mendis.
Dr Mahim Mendis, a product of St Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia, has been mentoring and teaching in Sri Lanka and abroad for three decades. Dr. Mendis, the former Spokesman of the Federation of University Teachers Associations (FUTA), is well known as a powerful public speaker.
Dr Mendis is supported by dynamic young trainers with high credentials and international exposure. They are now ready to partner you to bring about a life changing turning point for a bright future for you and your child. All training is conducted at the Rainbow Institute premises in Colombo 3.
