  •  Work placement sourcing including meals and accommodation.
  •  Visa application and lodgement.
  •  Assistance with securing job employment opportunities.
  •  Professional skills training.

WHY SRI LANKAN NURSES?

n Sri Lanka nurses have been selected due to generally recognised academic and English skills.

ELIGIBILITY

n Nurses must undertake the designated courses and study requirements.

  • Australian Qualification internationally recognised – Australian health care system is recognised as one of the best if the world.
  • Entry level qualification in Australia for work as personal carer or nursing aid.
  • Pathway qualification to other courses with Key 2 Learning College or university – demonstrate candidate is genuine student.

WORK OPPORTUNITIES

  • Nurses are entitled to work full time under the provision of the visa.
  • Key 2 Care Health Solutions will prepare a dossier of each nurse upon commencement of the program and promote the dossier across network of aged care providers.
  • Key 2 Care Health Solutions will meet and discuss work opportunities with nurses upon arrival in Australia and prior or during commencement of work placement activities.
  • Key 2 Care Health Solutions will assist nurses to facilitate interviews with aged care providers and other necessary assistance as part of the programme.
  • Key 2 Care Health Solutions will provide ongoing support for nurses during the 12 months program.
  • Nurses can earn between $20/hr-$25/hr and work full time (38 hours per week). The hourly rate can increase significantly with overtime and shift.

OPPORTUNITIES AFTER 12 MONTH

  • Nurses can elect to undertake further studies with Key 2 Learning College or universities.
  • Nurses might be entitled to seek regional or State sponsorship as an aged care worker provided they meet strict sponsorship requirements such as having a diploma qualification.
  • Nurses can apply for work opportunities in other countries. Personal care workers (aged care, disability, etc.) are in high demand internationally.
  • Diploma or Bachelor degree qualified nurses might be entitled to apply for registration in Australia as an enrolled nurse or registered nurse under the streamlined Stream B registration program provided that they meet the Registration Standards including English proficiency. TEMPORARY ACTIVITY VISA 408 – SPECIAL PROGRAMME

  • The Temporary Activity Visa (408) – Special Program – AIESEC Global Youth Programme (Volunteer Programme)’ is a visa that allows nurses to stay in Australia to take part in an approved special programme. Special programs can include youth exchange, cultural enrichment or community programmes, school language assistants or “gap year school volunteering”. The AIESEC Global Youth Programme (Volunteer Programme) qualifies as an approved special programme.
  • The conditions of the 408 visa are outlined in the Australia immigration website:

n Some of the more relevant conditions are:

l Nurses must be 18-30 years of age.

l The stay is limited to 12 months.

l Nurses can work full time during the stay.

  • Nurses must abide by all the conditions of the visa including participating in AIESEC cultural workshops and related training activities.
  • Nurses must meet GTE and financial requirements to live in Australia as part of the visa application process.
