Innovation and technology exhibition held this week
View(s):Innotech 2020, the national innovation and technology exhibition, will be held at the Pitipana Hi-Tech City, Homagama from March 11-14.
The exhibition will be in parallel to the opening of the first Technology Faculty attached to the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
Organised by the Higher Education, Technology and Innovation Ministry and the Education and Media Ministries the exhibition will include many innovations by Sri Lankan inventors. It will be open to the public from 9 am and continue till 10 pm. Schools, technological institutes, technology faculties will contribute their innovations as well. Entrance to the exhibition is free to the public.
Homagama-Mahinda Rajapaksa National School, Sri Lanka Institute of Nano Technology, Technology Faculty of Sri Jayewardenepura University, National School of Business Management, Department of Measurement Units, Standards and Services will host the exhibition.
The Department of Government Information said mobile planetariums, night sky observation camps, cultural programmes would be some of the highlights of the event.
