CIMA Sports Day 2019 powered by NoLimit for fifth consecutive year

The CIMA Sports Day 2019, organised by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) Students’ Society was successfully held at the Thurstan grounds for the 22nd consecutive year.

This year’s theme ‘Unite in Strength’ reflected the unity and diversity of the teams, bringing out the essence of true sportsmanship in every participant. Covering a wide range of sports such as cricket, tag rugby, futsal, basketball, netball and swimming, the event was brimming with the enthusiasm of the participants, who represented corporate teams, CIMA institute students, other educational institute students and individual teams as well.

For the first time in recorded history, Imperial College of Business Studies became the overall champions of CIMA Sports Day and won the coveted CIMA Sports Day Shield. Additionally, they clinched the trophies for cricket and futsal.

Wisdom Business Academy became the first runners-up of the event, and were the champions in basketball, netball and swimming.

Nuwan Kulasekara, the celebrated former Sri Lanka cricketer, presided the event as the Chief Guest. NoLimit, Sri Lanka’s biggest and largest fashion chain was the strategic partner for CIMA Sports Day 2019, for the fifth consecutive year.
