The Jaffna Teaching Hospital overflowing with suspected dengue patients had to take three students to GCE Ordinary Level exam centre to sit their exams this week.

On Wednesday the JTH took steps to take the students by ambulance to the exam centre and back to the hospital.

The Vavuniya hospital also made similar arrangements for one patient to sit the O/L exams.

The Jaffna municipal council area is badly affected by dengue mosquitoes and has asked that tuition classes be put on hold for two weeks.
