Coinciding with the August school vacation, another Hollywood movie for children and the family audience is now being released with ‘Dora and the Lost City of Gold’.

Directed by James Bobin, the film is a live-action adaptation and continuation of Nickelodeon and Nick Jr.’s television series Dora the Explorer.

This adventure film stars Isabela Moner as the title character, with Eugenio Derbez, Michael Peña, Eva Longoria, and Danny Trejo in other roles.

Having spent most of her life exploring the jungle with her parents, nothing could prepare Dora for the most dangerous adventure ever – high school.

Always the explorer, Dora quickly finds herself leading Boots (her best friend, a monkey), her cousin Diego, and a rag tag group of teens on an adventure to save her parents and solve the impossible mystery behind a lost Inca civilisation.

Four month long filming started almost a year ago on August 6, last year on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, the film was released worldwide on last August 9.

The Paramount Pictures presentation, Dora and the Lost City of Gold is now being released at Colombo City Centre and other theatres in and around Colombo.
