Meet Australian University representatives in Colombo & Kandy organized by Edlocate
View(s):For the 19th consecutive year, Edlocate is proud to organize the interview sessions with Australian University representatives for students interested in undertaking tertiary studies in Australian universities. It is an ideal opportunity to know more about the status of Australian universities, the different strengths of them, the opportunities for scholarships open for high achievers, the openings available at different universities to get related work experience on completion of courses and thereby the ability to join Australian work force.
Edlocate represents 27 universities in Australia which includes all eight top universities – the Go8 universities. Edlocate is the only private agent in Sri Lanka which represents all highest ranked GO 8 Universities in Australia. We also represent several pathway providing institutions for those who do not have direct entry A/L results.
These interview sessions will be conducted on 12th and 13th February at Cinnamon Grand Colombo and at the Queens Hotel, Kandy on 18th February. Representatives from a large number of Australian universities and institutions we represent and their pathway providers will be present to meet with you in person.
Australia offers many opportunities for students who wish to do tertiary studies in the universities. The curriculums of all programs offered in Australian Universities are continuously upgraded to meet the changing needs of industry. They are designed with a view to offer graduates employment outcomes. The biggest advantage in doing tertiary studies in Australia is the ability to obtain post study work visa in order to get work experience in your skill area following completion of the academic courses. This opportunity is offered only in a handful of developed countries. This enables students to join the work force in Australia if they so desire to.
By meeting university representatives and faculty staff, students can obtain first hand information on;
- Scholarship opportunities available in their respective universities ( 25% – 100%) for both undergraduate and postgraduate studies
- The strengths of their respective universities with regards to industry exposure that will open up opportunities for placements during post study work periods
- The study options that will lead to professional skills highly required in developed countries
- Postgraduate students to seek assistance in selecting their courses, finding supervisors and scholarships
- Students with HND qualifications to discuss maximum credit options for their “top up” degrees.
The experienced counselors of Edlocate will be in hand to assist the university representatives, parents and students to explain about financial requirements for studies and visa purposes and the ability to do so within your financial means.
At these interview sessions students could lodge applications to selected universities without incurring an application fee for the July , post July 2019 and February 2020 intakes. In order to do obtain application fee waivers kindly bring along your O/L and A/L results (applications could be lodged pending results with a letter from school authorities), Degree or Professional qualification certificates for PG applicants, IELTS/PTE results (If available) and the passport.
