The Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, High Commission of India, Colombo in association with AAYUSH, Sri Lanka and Astanka Yoga Mandir will present a lecture on ‘Kitchen Chemistry – Fruits and Herbs for Immunity’ on Saturday, December  15 from 9.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. at the SVCC auditorium, 16/2, Gregory’s Road, Colombo 7.

Dr Vivian Sathiyaseelan, Head of the Department, Unit of Siddha Medicine, University of Jaffna will speak on the day-to-day impact of  the use of herbs, spices and vegetables on wellness according to the Siddha medical system.

Dr. Sathiyaseelan has completed his B.S.M (Sri Lanka), M.D (India). This event is free and open to all. Please register by sms 077 739 3999 / 077 727 4859.

There will also be a Food Fun Fiesta on the lawns of the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre on that day from 10 a.m. -1 p.m. with mouthwatering Indian cuisine from different states  prepared by students and teachers of the Cultural Centre. Indian handicrafts, Mehndi, kurtas, sarees, and jewellery will also be showcased. Entrance is free.
