The Josephian Carol Service under the theme “Dona Nobis Pacem” will be held at 6.30pm today at the school’s Stanley Abeysekara Auditorium.
Led by the 75 strong senior choir of the St. Joseph’s College well known as St. Cecilia’s Choir, the event will bring together more than 200 singers and musicians.
The brass band will herald the opening of the event with the “Christmas Overture”. As customary, the 60 strong primary choir and the 40-member teachers choir will render two popular carols.

The event will also feature the 30-member award-winning Old Joes Choir, which won gold medals at the World Choir Games. Rev. Fr. Ivan Perera, General Manager of the Archdiocesan Catholic Schools, will deliver a Christmas message and impart his blessings. There will be a fellowship after the carol service at the school quadrangle. All are invited to participate and gain from the memorable Josephian Carol Service. Entrance is free. (SI)
