SLC calls for SGM to appoint elections committee
View(s):Sri Lanka Cricket this week called for an Special General Meeting to appoint the Election Committee to conduct the long overdue Sri Lanka Cricket election. The SGM will be held on November 12 at 10 a.m at the Duncan White Auditorium.
Accordingly; the required notice has already been dispatched to the membership of SLC by the Director General of Sports. The Special General meeting will be conducted by the Director General of Sports.
Sri Lanka Cricket elections were due since May 31, 2018 when the Court of Appeal issued an interim injuncion considering a petition field by Nishantha Ranatunga.
The International Cricket Council has given a February 13, 2019 deadline to hold elections or face suspension.
