Aussie women cricketers are men?
View(s):Australian cricket already reeling with the ball-tampering-gate in South Africa plunged into a new controversy when the Cricket Australia authorities discovered that there were two males masquerading as women and representing the country in ICC events.
The story leaked out when some Cricket Australia high-ups attached to the women’s cricket in Australia noticed the two males escorting two female cricketers from the Australian team to a function in Melbourne.
The two males from the foursome looked suspiciously like two female fellow players and the investigation was launched. The players were subjected to a testosterone test when the discovery was made under ICC Rule 16.5.
For the time being they are withholding the names of the suspects, CA said. However as this looks an April 1 story there would be no further action taken.
