Veteran Sebastianites cricketers will come alive at the veterans’ cricket fest and grand family get-together on Sunday at the Carlton Club grounds, Uyana, Moratuwa.

Professor Ranil Fernando will lead the St. Sebastian’s side that played in 1971, while the other side is led by veteran cricket coach Milroy Paul. This T20 match is played for the ‘Yeti Isotonic Trophy’ and will be the first of its kind in a series of matches from the Old Sebs to go down the nostalgic memory lane.

The match is organised by Milroy Fernando Cricket Club founded by Milroy Paul and cricketer Mervyn Fernando, now domiciled in Australia. Chief Guest for this occasion will be 1966 ‘Battle of the Golds’ big match winning captain Sarath Perera. Sebastianite Roger Wijesuriya and Sebastianite dashing opener Romesh Kaluwitharana are invited as guests of honour.

This cricket festival and the grand family get-together will be followed by a sing-along session and dancing. One man band Angelo and well known singer musician John Derek, who is also an old Seb will entertain the crowd.

Veteran film producer Sunil T. Fernando, also an old Seb along with few of the film stars will grace the occasion. Sebastianite Russel Perera of ‘Russels’ Tea will be the commentator. There will be an ‘invitees 6-over match’ played before the main T20.
