The British School in Colombo (BSC) in a noble gesture donated cricketing gear to the Under-13 Cricket Team of Mahadivulwewa Maha Vidyalaya, Trincomalee following their charity cricket encounter worked off at the Shalika Grounds, Narahenpita.

The event was organised by the BSC Under-13 Cricket Team along with their parents in collaboration with the ‘Saviya’ Development Foundation. The cricket aid contained bats, pads and all cricket equipment in addition to 50 new pairs of shoes to improve their cricket through the courtesy of the BSC parents.

In fact, the Mahadivulwewa Under-13 Cricket Team reached the second-round of the 2017 Division Three Cricket Tournament but could not make further progress in the event due to financial constraints.

BSC won the charity match in the last over of the innings as they bowled out their opponents for 171 runs after having amassed 374 for eight from their 55 overs.
