Christmas delights at Waters Edge the Bakery

This holiday season, one of the main attractions at Waters Edge Hotel in Battaramulla will be the Bakery at The Edge which has a wide variety of Christmas delights, both sweet and savoury. The treats and roasts prepared by Executive Chef, Buddhika Samarasekara and Executive Pastry Chef, Nalin Hewage will be made available from December 15 onwards.

The range of scrumptious baked goodies will comprise of Christmas cakes, puddings, cookies, cupcakes, traditional Stollen, Breudher and chocolate Santas. The savoury delicacies will consist of seasonal roasts – Roast Turkey with Seasonal Vegetables, Roast Lamb, Smoked Ham with Red Wine Jus and many more.

 The Singing Christmas at MLH once again

Choirs from several leading schools in Colombo will be seen at the Singing Christmas Tree which has become a much looked forward to event at the Mount Lavinia Hotel.

The Singing Christmas Tree is on now until December 22, adding to the line-up of events at the hotel. Emerging from the tradition of singing around the Christmas tree, the first ‘Singing Christmas Tree’ also known as the ‘Living Christmas Tree’ was created in 1933 in Belhaven University, Jackson, Mississippi.

“The idea of the Singing Christmas Tree was novel to us when we introduced it several years ago, and every year Team MLH is equally excited to host this event. This is our way of welcoming the season of peace and joy,” commented Director Sales & Marketing of Mount Lavinia Hotel Remauld Mack.
