‘Investor Day’ prog. by Sabaragamuwa Uni. on Nov. 15-16
View(s):The Sabaragamuwa University will hold a 2-Day ‘Investor Day’ programme between November 15-16, to promote investing in the country’s economy, among the people of the Sabragamuwa Province. The programme titled ‘Wealth Creation through Informed Investors Decision’ is to educate and enhance the public on the financing and investment environment available within the Province.
People, it is believed, are sceptical on investing due to lack of knowledge and pessimistic ideas on investing on real estate, the capital and the money market, the University website said. The aim is to remove such negative ideas and promote investment. The programme will target undergraduates, lecturers, school teachers and the general public.
The highlights of the programme will include an Education exhibition on Finance, Banking & Insurance and Workshops delivered by guest Lecturers. There also will be an inter-university quiz and a book release on the research done by the Dept of Accounts & Financing, and will end on a celebratory note of cultural dancing, with the participation of locals and foreigners.
