International Conference on Ayurveda, Traditional Medicine by Colombo Uni.
View(s):The University of Colombo (UoC) will hold the 5th International Conference on Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and traditional Medicine, titled ‘Ayurveda: Inspiring Health & Happiness’, from October 27-29.
The event will be organised by the UoC’s Institute of Indigenous Medicine (IIM), under the guidance of the University Grants Commission.
The conference will be a platform for eminent researches, academics, physicians, medical practitioners, manufacturers and exporters of ayurveda and herbal products, and is expected to benefit the corporate and agricultural sectors and other stakeholders in the field.
Speakers are expected to discuss the latest information on Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and traditional Medicine, and Strategies to incorporate evidence based modalities in clinical practice to prevent and managing specific conditions using latest tools.
The programme will comprise plenary lectures by guest speakers and poster and video presentation with practical demonstrations webcasting and exhibitions. Authors are invited to submit articles/abstracts on basic theories and, fundamentals and methodology of traditional Medical systems, and Ayurveda literary research.
Sub themes will include Pharmacology & Pharmaceutics (modern and Ayurveda), Cultivation, Organic Farming, Conservation & Propagation of Medicinal Plants, Bio-purification, Paediatic, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Food & Nutrition and Yoga.
