Lakshman Silva takes over as CEO DFCC Bank
View(s):Lakshman Silva has taken over as CEO of DFCC Bank PLC with effect from August 16, the bank said this week.
Commencing his professional career at the Department of Inland Revenue of Sri Lanka, he moved to the financial services industry and joined the DFCC Group in 1987. He was DFCC Vardhana Bank’s Chief Operating Officer and was thereafter appointed as Chief Executive Officer in 2010.
Following the amalgamation of DFCC Bank and DFCC Vardhana Bank, Lakshman Silva was appointed as the deputy CEO of the amalgamated DFCC Bank PLC. He succeeds Arjun Fernando, the former CEO. Thimal Perera has been appointed as the bank’s deputy CEO.
