Ishan’s 69 help SLPA to 248
A knock of 69 by Ishan Rangana which included seven boundaries helped SLPA CC taking first lease of the wicket to make a modest score of 248 against Lankan CC on day one of the Premier Tier B cricket encounter played at the Army ground in Panagoda.
Lankan CC in their turn facing seven overs ended the day on 24 for 2. The match will be continued today.
An unbeaten 96 inclusive of ten boundaries and three sixes by Suwanji Madanayake who also added 87 runs for the fourth wicket with Samith Dushantha enabled Police SC to make a score of 235 against Kalutara PCC who ended the day on 39 for 1 on the opening day in the match played at the BRC ground.
A four wicket haul by left arm spinner Suadaraka Dhakshina supported by Ashan Ranasinghe and Ishan Abeysekera enabled Navy SC to bowl out Kalutara TC for a low score of 143 in the match played at the Surrey Village ground in Maggona. Navy SC in reply were on 167 for 6 to take a first inning lead.
The match between Panadura SC and Kurunegala YCC which was scheduled to be played at Kalutara was postponed.
