Shammu Ashan of Ananda College brought a lightening start for the 17th Henry Steele Olcott Memorial Cricket tournament at the Bloomfield Grounds yesterday when he slammed a lusty 54 to guide Ananda College to win the Olcott Schools Under-19 cricket tournament defeating Dharmasoka College Ambalangoda. At the Old Boys tournament the day’s highest score (109) was posted by Dharmasoka College and Ajith Ekanayake from Maliyadeva College captured 3 for 12 to be the highest wicket taker so far.  At the end of the second day yesterday from Group ‘A’ Dharmasoka and Rahula collected two points each while Dharmapala, Maliyadeva and Mahinda collected two points each. The tournament will be continued today commencing at 8.30am.
