Here come the brides in Gatsby style

Brides of Sri Lanka with Hilton Colombo is to host another extravagant bridal show on September 18 at 6 p.m. at the Hilton Colombo as a fundraiser for the Maharagama National Cancer Institute.
The Gatsby themed evening “A wedding affair by Brides of Sri Lanka” will see over 50 well-known and upcoming bridal designers taking part.
Managing Director of Brides of Sri Lanka, Nelum Haththella said that in comparison to the previous shows by the Brides of Sri Lanka there would be two new inclusions– Beach bridals – which is an upcoming more westernised concept and ‘Big is beautiful’ which would be plus size bridals.
Apart from the show, the Colombo Hilton and Brides of Sri Lanka have organised an exhibition on September 18 from 11a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hilton. “Through the exhibition guests could meet photographers, jewellers, florists, tailors and get everything arranged just under one roof,” said the Hilton Director of Sales and Conferencing, Arosha Perera.
Sixteen stalls including a Noritake stall will be set up for the exhibition and discounts will be offered to the guests. Entrance is free.
Tickets for the Bridal show are priced at Rs. 5000 and Rs. 7000.
