RCC in second round
View(s):Rukmalgama Cricket Club (RCC) under the captaincy of all-rounder, Shayamal Perera who enjoyed a highly successful preliminary round has made their way to enter the 2nd round of the Colombo District Cricket Association (CDCA) Division III 50-Over League Tournament 2016. At the completion of the 1st round, Rukmalgama finished on top of their group scoring three wins and one loss. Old D.S. Senanayaka SC occupied the 2nd spot behind Rukmalgama.
RCC’s three wins were against Old DSS, Ananda CC and Noel Dias CC. Their strength lies in their batting with centurions, Dinesh Vindyaka, Pasindu Gonagala and Manoj Jayaweera in good form. They will look up to the pace-spin combination of Heshan Wijesinghe and Ranjan Ranatunga to bag the wickets. Rukmalgama CC will take on Native Cricket Club in their first 2nd round match today at the Poregedera Grounds, Padukka, commencing 9.45 am. - LR
