Catamarans  Sports  Club (CSS), the  reputed  social  hub of Moratuwa, celebrating  its 70th  anniversary  this  year,  is planning  to   host  a galaxy  of musical   fellowship  events during  the current festive season.

The first  function, ‘Calypso  Nite’ will come alive on May 27th at  the  Clubhouse .  It  is  expected  to  attract  nearly  150 members  along  with  their guests.
The ‘Sri  Lankians’ – the   well  known  Calypso musicians  will  entertain the  crowd  with  authentic  Caribbean  calypsos ,  Latin  American  and  local  favourites .
Under  the  stewardship  of  the Club  President  Brian  Coorey, the joint  social  secretaries  Priya  Peiris  and  Suranga  Fernando  have  earmarked   many  social  events  for   the fourth  Friday  of  every  month  under  the  ‘Thank God  It’s  Friday’ (TGIF) Concept and  the membership  could  look  forward  to  interesting  activities  all  round  the  year.

A ‘Karaoke  evening’  and  a ‘Paduru  Party›  will  follow  in  the  coming  months, further  informed  the  social  secretaries.
