Meghan Trainor fell on her back as she was concluded performing her new song ‘Me Too’ on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show last week. Trainor was wearing six- inch heals shoes at the time as she attempted a spin falling backwards to the floor. The 22 year old did not suffer any injuries but apologised to host Fallon.

There are strong indications the Spice Girls will reunite for the group’s 20th anniversary. Three former members posted pictures on social media at recording studio. Mel B has even gone further by indicating the girls or ladies are now working on new material. The 20th anniversary of Spice Girls debut hit song ‘Wannabe’ will be 8th July. So far Victoria Beckham and Melanie C have not confirmed if they will be joining. The Spice Girls were big in the late nineties. All members reunited and performed last in 2012 at the closing ceremony of the London Olympic Games.

Azealia Banks who was barred by Twitter after she posted a series of homophobic and racist attacks on Zayn Malik has bowed to pressure and apologised to those she had offended. Banks had earlier accused the former One Direction member of stealing the concept of her video ‘Yung Rapunxel’ for his new song ‘Like I Would’.  The 22 year old referred Malik’s Pakistani origins and added a homophobic slur. An online petition led to the ‘212’ hitmaker’s Twitter account being banned while the organisers of London’s Born & Bred  music festival dropped her as a headline act. She later took to her Instagram page to continue attacking Malik. Her apology was posted on 14th May on Instagram. Banks has had a history with spats – with Delta Airlines, attacking a guard at a club in Los Angeles and even former US Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

The success of Drake’s song ‘One Dance’ is astounding. In the UK the track has secured a fifth week at the top of the singles chart. The song has got stronger by each week just when chart watchers were expecting it to fall off from the top spot. This week ‘One Dance’ combined sales by 123,000 copies and 8.37 million streams. The Canadian rapper fought off competition from Calvin Harris and Justin Timberlake to hold on the No: 1 position.

The only new entry on the UK top 10 was from Justin Timberlake. His new release ‘Can’t Stop This Feeling’ debuted at No: 3. The dance pop/disco pop and funk track came out suddenly. So there is a possibility it can do better on the chart in the next few weeks if it does not meet competition. Timberlake wrote the song with Max Martin and Shellback. ‘Can’t Stop This Feeling’ is Timberlake’s 9th UK top 10 hit with last ‘Mirrors’ topping the chart in 2013. Justin Timberlake’s current hit is taken from the film soundtrack ‘Troll’.

DJ Snake has notched up his second top 10 UK hit with ‘Middle’ as it advanced from 12 to 10. The electropop was released in October 2015, but only made it on to the chart back in March this year. The song features the vocals of English singer Bipolar Sunshine.
