New Christmas CD from Anil Bhareti
View(s):Popular Singer Anil Bhareti who has been in the music scene for more than four decades is known to be the only artiste who has sung the highest number of Christmas songs than any other artiste since 1970.
He has sung over sixty popular Christmas songs including the ever popular Christmas song ‘Bethlehem Pure’ which is very much in demand during the season and is incomparable.
The special feature is that this song has now gained a special place in most Christian hymn books. It is the common belief that no Christmas event is complete without the inclusion of ‘Bethlehem pure’ which they say is the number one Sinhala Christmas song.
Anil has released a Christmas CD and most of the Christmas songs included in this CD have been composed by the then veteran musicians and composers.
‘However all of these Christmas songs can be enjoyed by anyone who belongs to any religion at all times. In this CD I have specially selected the best twelve Christmas songs of mine, that I feel are popular among the masses’ he said.
