The Electric Peacock Festival (EPF) truly enthralled its audience this year, thanks in no small part to an epic DJ set by festival headliner Mark Ronson, who is most noted for hit ‘Uptown Funk,’ a 2015 pop smash hit featuring Bruno Mars, which has currently been winning big at international music award shows.

However, Mr. Ronson’s masterful performance was not the only thing keeping the audience going with his set being preceded by the thrilling DJ Yoda, another master of his craft, known for his hip hop cuts.

The powerful mix of top talent was further ably supported by the likes of Muku, Frank Meehan and the Jitterbug and Larry T. Hill, while the Silent Disco Stage showcased Asvajit, Rev, Type B and My Panda Shall Fly.

This is the fourth year that the eclectic and multi-genre Electric Peacock Festival has been held, having initially launched in 2010. The festival is the brainchild of Sri Lankan sisters Leah Bazalgette and Tasha Marikkar .

Interestingly, the most unique feature of the Electric Peacock Festival, at least in terms of musical events held locally, may have actually been what went on beyond the main stage.

Even though the music did do admirably well in keeping the rain-soaked crowd enthralled, due in no small part because of the sensational talent and expertise being showed off this year.

In addition there were many unique installations offered by festival partners.

From a Live Art display, where students created paintings live, throughout the concert, to a silent Disco Stage where the people grooved to music by local talent Asvajit and others on wireless headphones, along with tents for leg art, dress-up costumes, face painting and a petting zoo with neon fake animals.

This festival was truly the stuff of psychedelic dreams. Print Partners for Electric Peacock Festival 2015 included the Sunday Times and Daily Mirror.
