The CCC School of Cricket, returned to the island on a triumphant note at the conclusion of the school’s 18th tour abroad with six victories in 10 matches with one tie, a no decision while losing two matches.

The team led by talented Nalandian Vinuka Nanayakkara did extremely well to dominate their opponents in Bangalore.

Nusrif Nisthar, the wicket-keeper opening batsman was the find of the tour aggregating 358 runs in 9 innings to average 59.6. This included four half centuries with an unbeaten 85 as the best.

Nusrif won the awards for the Best Batsman and Player of the Series.

Thavisha Ranasinghe, a left arm spinner bagged the Best Bowlers award for capturing 10 wickets at an average of 8.4 and Danal Hemananda, another south paw did well with both bat and ball to win the Best All-Rounders Award.

11-year-old Venuk Hemachandra, showed immense talent, with his left arm bowling and left hand opening batting deservedly won the Most Promising Young Player’s Award.
