The 42nd Ambalangoda Open Two-Mile Sea Swim organised by Dharmasoka College Ambalangoda showcased some of Sri Lanka’s finest young talent in swimming.

More than 550 swimmers representing schools and swimming clubs across the country participated in the swim.

Nuwinu Thiwanka Perera from Dharmapala College, Pannipitiya was presented the award for youngest swimmer in the meet (Boys).

Nuwinu has been making waves in the local swimming circuit, having made his mark at the National Age Group Swimming Championships in 2014 in the boys under 13 sprinting events, and also coming first in both 50m Breast Stroke and 200m Individual Medleys in boys under 13 events at the Pentathlon Swimming Championship 2014.
