The Association of Cricket Umpires felicitated Prageeth Rambukwella for his selection as the Premier Best Umpire 2014 recently.
Prageeth, an old Nalandian cricketer started his umpiring career in 2004 and graduated to Premier Panel in 2008. He had performed as the 4th umpire in one test match and five One Day Internationals. Prageeth toured South Africa in 2010 under the Umpire Exchange Programme between the two countries. In South Africa he had officiated in a couple of games in Dublin and East London.
Prageeth paid high tributes for the Association of Cricket Umpires and his employer the Union Bank of Sri Lanka for their encouragement and support for his achievement. – LR
