Karn Kashyap leads Dragons to easy win over Warriors

Karn Kashyap stroked a brilliant unbeaten 53 with nine boundaries and a six to lead BSC Dragons to record a comfortable 9-wicket win over BSC Warriors in the annual big match of the British School Colombo. Batting first the BSC Warriors scored 74 for the loss of three wickets in their first innings.

The Dragon in response reached 75 for the loss of one wicket in 10 overs with Kashyap top scoring with 30 runs. Warriors in their second innings scored 97 runs for the loss of one wicket with Nivanka Pathirana hitting an unbeaten 32 runs. Sahansa Pathirana hit 28. Dragons in response reached the target with four balls to spare. They scored 101 for 1 in 9.2 overs.

Kashyap was the man-of-the-match for his all-round contribution. Neshan Moonasinghe was named the best fielder while James Grahma received the best bowler’s award. Warriors captain Sahansa Pathirana won the best batsman’s award. – NA
