Twenty new schools records at Wesley Inter-House swim meet
View(s):Twenty new school records were established at the Wesley College Inter-House Swimming Championship worked-off at the Wesley College Swimming Pool recently.
Shamod Athulathmudali was responsible for five new records in the Under 19 age group. They were in the 50m Butterfly, 50m Free Style, 50m Breast, 50m Back and 200m IM Events and was awarded the Jan Hommerson Challenge Trophy for being the Champion swimmer of the meet.
Mohamed Tariq Drahiem won the Jan Hommerson Challenge Trophy for Champion Breast Stroke swimmer while Aakash Kumareson was adjudged the Most Promising swimmer of the meet.
Capt. Navin De Silva, a renowned sportsman of Wesley College graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and gave away the prizes and Trophies for the winners at the meet.
