Merc ‘B’ div semi-finalists found
The defending joint winners, MAS Intimates Unichela ‘B’ and Textured Jersey along with MAS Linea Aqua and Kanrich Finance ‘A’ advanced to the Semi-Finals of the 2nd Emerald Ceylon Tea Cup – MCA ‘B’ division 50 –Over League Tournament 2015, continued with the quarter-finals last week end. In the matches played over the week-end, MAS Linea Aqua scored a narrow 11 runs win over Hayleys Group at Katunayake; while in a rain affected match at the P. Sara Oval, Textured Jersey snatched a two wickets win over DIMO.
The bottom half quarter-finals between MAS Unichela ‘B’ Vs. LB Finance ‘A’ at the MCA Grounds; and Kanrich Finance ‘A’ Vs. Raigam Marketing at Bloomfield grounds was washed out without a ball being bowled. According the tournament rules, the two teams who held the higher position in the league table, MAS Unichela ‘B’ (A/2) and Kanrich Finance ‘A’ (A/1) thus qualified for the Semi-Finals.
