Special Unit to conduct Term Tests within WP: WPC Education Ministry
View(s):The Western Province (WP) Education Ministry is to set up a special unit to conduct all term tests in the province, a Ministry official said.
The unit is being set up to prevent malpractices crippling the WP zonal education office at present. The unit aims to prevent leaking of question papers, and errors in them.
Set up under WP Additional Education Secretary, Jayantha Wikramanayake, the 14-member high level technical committee comprises professionals in the field of Education.
Organising, setting and printing of question papers, conducting examinations and analysis of results will all be handled by this unit.
“The report recommending the unit has been presented to the WP Education minister and senior officials of WP Education Ministry,” said WP Education Ministry Secretary M.P.B Daya Senrath.
