Baby dies after fall from mother’s hand
View(s):A four-month-old infant died due to head injuries he suffered when he fell from his mother’s hands in the bathroom, a Coroner’s Court was told.
The child’s father, an accountant, said the infant, his second child, fell on the tiled floor of the bathroom at his residence in Moratuwa on Wednesday. He said they rushed the unconscious child to a private hospital from where he was transferred to the National Hospital. But he died the following day morning.
The Coroner’ ruled that the death was due to the fall from a height of about two feet and profuse bleeding.
