The Swimming Coaches Association of Sri Lanka (SCA) will conduct a one-day Swimming workshop at the National Institute of Sports Science Auditorium (NISS), Ministry of Sports, Torrington Square on Tuesday. The workshop will be held from 8.30am to 4.30pm.

This Workshop will be conducted by Ranil Goonasena, who is in his 42nd year in coaching and is the first non-American in the world to be certified as a Level 4 Coach by the American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) in 1989. This workshop based on Bio-Mechanics on all four strokes (Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly stroke) will be open for all who can swim and over 16 years of age.
Goonasena was the head coach of the Sri Lanka Swimming team which left to Nepal in 1999 for the 5th SAF Games. Intended participants can obtain an application form from the official SCA website, www.lankaswimming.lk and register before 8.30am on July 29.
