Every bit a diva
View(s):It was a cause close to her heart and Kishani Jayasinghe delivered with all the passion and fondness that her schooldays at her alma mater Visakha Vidyalaya brought to mind when she performed a concert in aid of her school last Sunday.
The packed audience at the school’s Jeremias Dias Hall was spellbound despite the heat as the dazzling diva went through a wide ranging programme that included Puccini arias– “O mio babbino caro” (oh my beloved father) and “Nessun dorma” (None shall sleep), Broadway hits and songs from the movies that included all time favourites from the Sound of Music , Love changes everything from Aspects of Love and People from Funny Girl.
A delightful rendition of I could have danced all night as the encore wrapped up a wonderful evening of entertainment organised by the Old Girls Association of Visakha.
